Mark Jones of ESPN was one of the members of the International press who showed their admiration and respect for Gilas Pilipinas, who has won the hearts and adoration of basketball enthusiasts around the world after showing a heroic performance in the global arena with 81-79 win versus Senegal and almost winning over the world's best teams.
Mark Jones even posted on his Twitter account Gilas Pilipinas' battlecry.

There was even a feeling of compassion for the Former sports journalist and now a member of the Miami Heat
organization Couper Moorhead, who hoped that Gilas Pilipinas entered the
Round of 16. He also said that the Filipinos were “more enjoyable” to watch
than defending champion Team USA.
